During the period when I shot this roll, I was practically driving something all day long — from biking my son to school every morning, to picking him up by car in the afternoon, to driving again in the evening to pick up my wife from work. A good few hours of my day were spent inside vehicles. I can't use my phone while driving, so whenever I got bored, I'd pull out the camera and shoot instead.

Here's how Kodak 200T performs under bright sunlight — for reference. Two kids fighting over a ball… which of course ended in an argument. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

That evening, I was probably out on my scooter, grabbing dinner for the family. (Olympus 50mm f1.4, f1.4, 1/1000s)

My son and I often play with this RC truck — the MN98 "Wild Bull." It's realistic in design but breaks easily. Still, I think RC-level vehicles are great for kids. My version is a basic one — as long as it has proportional throttle, that's good enough. Playing RC cars feels like playing video games in the real world. A typical routine for me — after picking up my son from school, I'd get on the highway and drive to my wife's office, find somewhere nearby to hang out until she got off work. The Thule Ranger 90 rooftop bag in the photo was still on the car from our last camping trip. It's not big, but saves a ton of space and can even be opened indoors without hitting the ceiling. Not perfect, but I like it. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

My son's beloved ride at home — a Tesla Model Y — a second-birthday gift from my high school junior. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

The kindergarten my son attends isn't cheap. Most parents drive nice cars. We're the modest ones — just a local compact SUV. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

For iced coffee, I think UCC's Black series tastes much better than typical convenience store Americano. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

Sun rays breaking through the clouds on the expressway — that "Jesus light" moment I couldn't quite capture. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

My rearview mirror is always tilted like this — makes it easier to talk to my son in the back seat. We were both hungry here, eating pineapple buns from 7-Eleven in the car. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

Lately I've been visiting Bibian Zhonghe often to pick up camera gear I ordered. I usually open the box and test it on the spot. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

Passenger: my son. Me? Just a full-service chauffeur — conversation, music, sightseeing commentary — everything but the fare. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

If you see lots of overhead power lines in a city street photo, chances are — it's Taiwan. (Olympus 50mm f1.4)

Ever since I got my army-green G-Shock DW-5610SU-3, I've lost all interest in wearing the Apple Watch. (Olympus 50mm f1.4, f1.4, 1/1000s)

When carrying a child, a step-through "ladies' bike" is definitely the way to go — the rear seat makes it impossible to swing your leg over from the back. I once tried using a horizontal top-tube bike (like a fixed gear), but nope, can't mount it at all. (Olympus 135mm f2.8, f2.8, 1/125s)
